Who We Are

Lauren Rider -  graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and has been working with children of all ages with a concentration in Developmental Disabilities.

As a private ABA and certified RDI Therapist Ms. Rider works with private clients suffering from such disabilities as Autism, terrets syndrome, downs syndrome, and bi-polar disorder.

Ms. Rider is the the Social Activities Program Coordinator and Consultant with Northern Illinois Center for Autism (NICA) in Lake in the Hills, Illinois. These program include Team Fitness (Adult spectrum fitness program), Circle of Friends (Spectrum children / siblings social groups), and Vocational Coaching ("Assisted Volunteers" special needs program involving Boutique, Banquets, and Birthday parties)   www.nicautism.org

Ms. Rider is an active member on the Advisory Committee with the Foundation to Assist Special Needs.  Foundation to Assist Special Needs works with McHenry County families and individuals in securing Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security benefits as well as McHenry County social services for temporary housing and food assistance.

Steven Gutstein - is the founder and director of RDI at The Connections Center, and is on the clinical staff of the Texas Children's Hospital, in Houston, Texas.
